An End of Season Entertainment will be hosted by the world famous Nottingham Outlaws on Saturday 21st August at Lady Bay.
Starting at 10.30 with games, which will include a plethora of rugby-related amusements (Mr Joseph Shepherd will be making one of his rare appearances in daylight and will demonstrate his famous “windmill”). There will also be something called a Wii (whatever that may be) provided by Mr Matthew Parr, which will enable you to play Rugby League without the need to tread on grass. Will the wonders of modern science never cease?
At mid day (sooner if wet) we will retire inside for the end of season presentations featuring one of Mr Strachan's humorous monologues and the handing over of some of the cheapest trophies we can find.
In the best traditions of Outlaw's cost-cutting all participants are invited to provide a plate of food to be shared with the assembled company. You may chose to delight your friends with a virtuoso display of sandwiches or startle them with your parsimony as you reveal a selection of sausage rolls in their TESCO packet. It matters not, because it is about sharing food and reliving the glories of the past season.
Mr Strachan has promised one of his locally famous Crisp Buffets and I am seriously thinking about providing a Novelty Cake...
